El Monterey

Objective

The El Monterey brand had little brand or packaging design equity when we began working with their Marketing team.

After an extensive pre-design study, The Biondo Group design team developed a strong branding system for the base line retail business. At launch the line consisted of Taquitos, Chimichangas, Burritos, Supremes, XXL and Cruncheros.

We presented a strong consistent brand image on shelf and helped establish the El Monterey brand as a leader in the category. The program was a success by any measure.

Once the new system was set and had established itself at POS, the El Monterey branding system grew and the product line extended to include sub brands for the Mexican Grill, Low Carbs, Family Meals (Enchiladas) lines and products exclusive to Costco.
